The Coppell Rotary Club’s annual School Supply Drive takes place July 18 through August 5.

“This is the Coppell Rotary Club’s seventh year to collect school supplies for Coppell learners who need a little extra help acquiring required supplies,” said Maureen Corcoran, Rotary’s Community Service Chair. “Last year’s Drive was a monumental success due to the support of local businesses, the City of Coppell and the Coppell Chamber of Commerce. This year’s business supporters include Citizens’ Advocate, Daryl Flood, Frost Bank, Market Street, VARIDESK, Gemmy Industries, Pure Barre, The Door Church, the Coppell Chamber of Commerce and Coppell Family YMCA as well as Coppell’s Fire Department, Library and Special Events.”

Each of these supporters will provide drop-off boxes for supplies and have events scheduled to encourage employees and citizens to contribute. Before school let out for the summer, each school counselor provided a list of supplies that students need for the upcoming school year.

“I am thrilled for the business and community support that is shown to our students in the school supply drive,” said Lindsay Ayers, CISD’s Director of Marketing and Business Partnerships. “This wonderful event gives people an easy way to get involved and directly impacts student lives.”

The school supply list can be found by visiting www.coppellrotary.org.
